Traditional in-ground graves can consist of a casket burial, cremation burial, or a combination of both.

Memorialization can be done with upright monuments, slanted memorials or lawn level memorials. Some sections within each of our cemeteries have been designed to accommodate specific types of memorialization only.

Traditional Graves

In-ground interment is the traditional process of laying a deceased person’s body or cremated remains to rest in a grave beneath the earth’s surface. This involves placing the casket or urn into a prepared grave space, often lined with a burial vault or grave liner. Following any funeral or committal services, the grave is then closed with soil. In-ground interment offers a permanent resting place that can be memorialized with a headstone, marker, or monument, providing a peaceful and respectful location for remembrance and visitation by family and loved ones

Cremation Graves

Cremation offers flexibility while still honoring traditional values of dignity, remembrance, and sacred rest.

Cremated remains can be buried in a traditional grave or a specific graves with a smaller footprint for the burial of cremated remains. The urn is typically placed in an urn vault for protection, and a headstone or lawn level marker identifies the site.

Inurnment in an Existing Family Grave

In some cases, cremated remains may be interred in a grave already occupied by a loved one, typically in a shared family plot. This provides a sense of continued connection and legacy.
